Default Opti I or II

Just had the Optispark in my 94 start throwing code 36s. Will any of the aftermarket Optispark IIs fit the 94. I've read about every post with the word Opti in it and haven't been able to draw a conclusion.

Thanks for the help.

The MSD and Dynaspark for your year has the correct spline and upgrades the early opti to have a vent system like the later. That is basically the only difference as far as aftermarket optis go. You can change the Timing cover and go through a lot of needless work to go to the Gen II opti but I wouldn't.

You have an early opti and can upgrade it yourself with an OEM opti and hoses with a 95 cap and rotor.

And don't forget to do this to the WP
