Checking to see if anyone knows, where I can get a Oil Level Sensor Plug from, and exactly what to order. I've contacted Casper Electonics, but they don't know the one I need. If I could get a part number and manufacture, that would be perfect, any help would be greatly appreciated!
I've edited the information but this should be the correct for a '91 pan. There's some conflicting information in the GM catalog and I'll confirm and probably edit it once more and call it "final"!! If you're using a "different" level sensor in the pan tell me what you're using and I should be able to take care of the image or the part!! That's a very common connector used everywhere in most GM cars and easily found at most dealers or most "jobbers" should be able to convert it to their product!
FINAL: That is the most current GM information but here are some earlier AC/Delco #'s for the same connector and maybe a jobber will have an easier time changing this information: PT1623 & PT1350
The connectors for the MY's are different and the # I posted is for MY '90-'92. The later MY's are different '93+. I just gave you information based on your "profile" and not the LT4 that I see you're now building. Which sensor are you actually using?
This is for my 96 LT4, not the 91.......And the oil level sensors are the same on the 91 and the 96, unless you know something that I don't..............WHICH, by the way IS very possible. Here's my problem............This is my headers installed on my motor:
As you can see, not alot of room to work with. BUT, seeing how this replacement sensor is made of composite and not the stock brassbodied one that came out of the motor, then I believe that I can cut the body of this oil level sensor down at least an 1/4" if not more, and make a pigtail that will allow me to clear my header and connect that sensor into the car's harness. I hope that clears things up a bit.
They aren't the same but very "similar" except for the electrical connector! There are essentially three part #'s for level sensors in most GM applications and I looked today and we had all three on the shelf. I paid very little attention to the third type but it's somewhat compact in comparison to what you've got installed.
I'll look at the third tomorrow and maybe a couple other possibilities! I'll be back. How about relocating it?
The latch/catch for the connectors molded into that Bakelite hex so there's not much to be trimmed! I believe there's a connector/pigtail to match the LT4 sensor that has a "tight 90* molded". It should be a match and was used for some bulb applications.

If there's a 90 out there, then that would work perfectly for my application. I wasn't going to use the latch, I was going to shave down the sensor and plug, then silicone it in place. Then take a female plug and have the harness from the car plug into that. Let me know what you find out about the 90, there maybe merit in that approach.
