I had a similar problem with a 92 Supercharged mustang that I used to own. It was entertaining to say the least. It couldn't turn or stop, but it was fast straight... :D

Wow! That was incredible! I suppose he was on his road course racing slicks.... Wow. What engines are the C5Rs running, is it a modded LS1? What kind of power are they putting down? Very cool.

My car's faster than a C5-R!!!!!!!!!
Yeah right, I just have less traction problems. The MPH just speaks for the HP he has, that should be near the 11's shouldn't it?
With traction, i'd say 8s. The car has THAT much horsepower. That's why he's got no traction at all. He's got 18" wheels for christ's sake! I watched a different video of the car, and he took off like an old lady. Had to have a 3 second 60' time and he turned low/mid 9s with it. I'll see if I can find the vid.

That is Lou Gigliotti in his C5 road race car on road race tires at our Texas Shootout competition last November. You may be able to find out more about his race car on their website... http://www.lgmotorsports.com

We build our in-house designed race car chassis for the SCCA Trans Am Series, which are driven by Lou Gigliotti and/or sold by L.G. Motorsports. Our Trans Am cars incorporate tubular steel frames, Corvette silhouette carbon fiber bodies, and weigh approximately 2500 pounds. Our 310 cubic inch CRD Trans Am spec motors are making upwards of 650 horsepower this year, which is right with the very top of the field. After a few races into the season, Lou's new 2001 Chassis has shown to be very competitive. He is in the top of the series points chase, has qualified in the fast-five, has a top-five finish, and won the Long Beach Grand Prix. Could he add to his previous Trans Am victories? Damn straight! Gentilozzi, Said, Miller, and Simo better watch out, because they are going to have some company up front the rest of the season.
