Default Sparco seat install

I've bought 2 Sparco Rev seats a while ago and last week I finally decided to put one into my car. A friend gave me OMP seat rails but I had to make some modifications to make them fit.
This rails are only temporary because I plan to fab aluminum rails for both seats.

Here are some pics.

I took out stock seat and rail with motors, so some cleaning was in order.

Seat on new rails, ready for mounting:

And finished product:

I really didn't know how poor are stock seats (for holding body in corners) until I tried this.

Are they smaller seats? Are they narrower? I need new seats also just don't want to get some that are to small.

Thanks for posting. I thought that I had no choice except the Corbeau A4. Is this a better seat than the Corbeau? Did you keep the e-brake?

I didn't try Corbeau, I don't even think they are available on Croatian market, but Sparco is one of the best racing seats available and a lot of pro racing teams use it.

I kept the e-brake.
I didn't have any seat rails so at first I tried to install seat on stock seat rail, but it ended up too high. So aftermarket rail is necessary.

Here is link to Sparco seats dimensions. Hope this helps.

I gathered some alu-profiles and made some sketches of how seat rails should look like. Tomorrow I'll cut and drill profiles and try to install seats into car.

.............

I did a little mistake when I was calculating rear mount, so I had to
drill holes a little bit lower.

And one pic of new steering wheel:

Total weight saving compared to stock seats is 18kg (~40lbs).
Not very much, but little by little........
