i might be getting a set of afr 195 competition ported heads. i have the hooker supercomps on my car now. hooker's website states they will not work with afr angle plug heads. is this right? is anyone on this forum running this combination?

For what its worth, I used to run the Hooker Super comps 1 3/4" headers with the AFR 190 angle plugs..... no problems, I think many have done this over the years.
I would have thought the 195's remain the same, but don't know, I also do not know of any differences with the eliminator series. I would talk to AFR (Tony Mamo posts here occasionally)..... they would probably have some insight on this....

Do they say they wont work with AFR angle or angle period? AFR's to my knowledge run a "L98" angle which is the same as a stock L98 vette head. I could be mistaken, but this used to be a common discussion a few years back.

I know that Stainless Works took note of the fact the exhaust ports on my AFR Eliminator heads are raised .100" over normal GM L98 heads- not sure if that's true for the older AFR 190's.
Maybe Hooker updated it's website to address the Eliminator series vs older AFR street heads...
