I have 11.5 inch five spoke ZR-1 rims on the back of my 85 corvette. Some time ago I took the car in for a new half shaft. (left side) The dealer said that they replaced the half shaft with 96 model. Since then I noticed that the left tire sticks out 1/2 inches past the wheel well more that the right side. The right side tire is fine.
My question is.... does a 96 half shaft fit on a 85 corvette?
If so, what could be causing the spacing difference?
Could it be the barring?

Re: ZR-1 Rim spacing question (Willycool)
The rear suspension was changed in 88 for the halfshafts. Take it back and gripe until they fix it with the correct part, keep taking it higher till you meet somebody that will help you.
