Default 86 Head Swap - Should I ?

Would bolting on a set of after market alum heads (maybe AFRs) in place of my stock iron heads make enough difference to be worth while?

How much HP and Torque gain would I achieve?

Thanks for reading.

If you are replacing cast iron with aluminum, it saves you like 80 lbs of sprung weight. I don't think anything other than an aluminum block would save more.

Also, if you get name brand 180cc heads you will gain some power over stock, if for no other reason than larger valves.

Cylinder heads are a very good bang for the buck, and usually a cam swap to suit your combination rounds out the package.

heads are where it's at. A complimenting cam and headers are also a great addition.
