Default OBDII Source Code?

Is any of the OBDII source code available?

There is supposed to be a program to allow non-factory mechanics to service
OBDII cars. SEMA has lobbied for this.

I am not aware of the source for any GM ecm being "available". Unless you mean simple dissasemblies (assembly source?). The OBDII editors currently available (LT1/LS1 edit) were produced through dissasembly, reverse engineering, and probably simple perusal of hex dumps.

Some of the top tuners I suspect may have some sort of access to some GM source code, but this is through back-channel methods.

Try wwwobdII.com. You need the G.M. manual for your year model. On my 1996 I can jump wire from pin 4 to pin 12 turn on key (Do Not Start) and write down codes from Speedo. one of our members MEZ has a 1996 book and was a big help as was C4C5 specialist when my Service engine Soon light came on.rottie@lightstream.com was a big help to. :chevy :seeya
