My car died on me sunday morning on my way home from work, luckly I was only .5 miles from home and I was in the neighborhood. so I pushed it home with help from the wife. the car (95 lt1) ran fine all day, then when it died the rpms went from 800 to 1200 back down then up and then it died. the car would not start. today it started right up, I went for a drive got the rpms up to about 3k and when I pulled back infront of my house it died again. this time though it started right up. Then I reved up to 5k, and the mph was reading 4, never done that before. I don't no where to go from here. I'm going to drive it tomorrow around the neighborhood and see if it does it again. any ideas or thoughts would would be great, thanks

Get fuel pressure readings - static, idle with vacuum on regulator, idle with vacuum OFF regulator, and pedal down (gauge taped to windshield).

that is what I was going to do next, I did just replace the regulator, but that does not rule on the pump or filter. I know the pump comes on because you can hear it. thanks will post results tomorrow
