Cooling Fans
Does anyone know on a 96 if I tap into the power wires going to the fans & put a switch on to run the fans when the car is sitting, will I have a problem with the sensors? I did this with my 89 & had no problems, but before I take the time I thought that I would throw this out there. Thanks

All you need is a switch to ground off that same wire to ECM.
Switch OFF ; ECM control.
Switch ON ; full manual

The ECM simple grounds the relay to activate the fans. You can wire in a manual switch on the ground side of the relay and accomplish the same thing and will not affect the normal fan-ECM function when you manual switch is OFF. There is a write-up and little sketch in the tech stickies.
