Wheel Offset question
I KNOW, I KNOW !!!!! Use the search function!
I did, but it is not working. I found a number of threads that would probably answer my question, but I am unable to open them.
Would a pair of 94 9.5" sawblades with 275-40-17 tires fit on my 87 Vette with out any issues?

Hi,
I think you will need spacers, but don't know the size.
Aprox 20mm.

84-87 wheels had a 38mm offset, 88 and later had a 56mm offset.
That's a difference of 18mm or 3/4".
the tires will work fine as the overall width and diameter are very close to the OEM 255/50-16 tires.

Thanks for the info.
I'm picking up a set of drag radials on sawblade rims at a pretty good price.

Actually for the rear wheels, you may not need any adapters at all. If the tire will fit in the wheelwell and doesn't hit any of the suspension pieces, you will be OK just bolting the wheels on. Also check the flexible brake lines to make sure they will clear the tire.
