how to change bias spring
, but when I did a search I see lots of threads, but nothing in them since the upgrade.I am thinking I should add a bias spring to my brakes but not sure the procedure. Any photo's of an install would be great [ photos help me understand things better usually].
I understand that it helps equalize the front and rear brakes for better stopping when you need to put them to the boards. Bleeding them? Just the mc, or all 4 corners? I understand there has been some debates about this too.
Any help, or pointing to links that work would be most aprreciated.
Thanks
The instructions come with the spring. It's not difficult.

You will need Adobe Acrobat to open the file up. Download the program here if you don't have it: http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
Hope that helps,

They aren't that expensive either and here is the one used in the article: http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...0P?vName=Tools.
Those are $10 and are reversible so they can be used for external or internal retaining rings. They can also be used for other retaining rings, such as the ones in Craftsman ratchets so you can lube the internals if you want. (As an aside, I took apart a new one of the older designs and compared it to the new slim design ratchets and can attest to the quality of the new slim design - they have two o-rings and many more teeth than the traditional style. )
Oh, and that link is to a .pdf file which is pretty large, so even with my cable internet, it took a little bit to open.
