Hey guys, just received my new Ostrich. Any tips/suggestions?
Mostly bolt on mods...long tube headers(no AIR or egr) aftermarket exhaust, 1.6 rr, minor intake porting, adjustable fpr, 2500 stall converter.
Gave up for a while, swapped a full forged 383 with ported heads and intake. Runs on stock computer, just not well. Really got to get familiar with the Ostrich and tune this puppy.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Jay, just saw your thread today. I am looking for a method of tuning my 89 and looked at the Moates site today, how do you like their stuff? Are you doing all your own tuning?

Red, I just got the Ostrich 1 from random84. It seems like a nice piece, and very very easy to get setup. The good thing about it, mine is usb, and my datalog is serial so i can have both hooked up and there is no need to switch out the plugs. If your going to be doing any serious work yourself it seems like a good idea to do your own tuning. Much much cheaper.
I'll do my own, how else will I learn. Ostrich 2 is a great product and is realy simple to use. Moates site has some very usefull info and there is ungodly chunks of info about tuning on the net.
