I remember seeing here somewhere about how to fill the radiator to get all of the air out. Does anyone know how it is done properly?? I did the radiator clean up thing and still get a low coolant light even though I am running cool.
Thanks!!
I read in TPIS Insider hints to warm the engine to about 100 degrees, open radiator cap, rev motor to 2500 rpm, and fill. Put the cap on, then let the motor idle back down. Any excess will flow out the cap when warmed up.

Re: Radiator loading??
Here's what works for me (learned on this forum):
First make sure you have no leaks, especially in the overflow tank and hose going to overflow tank.
Replace radiator cap with new. Stant makes good caps.
Clean and refill overflow tank to cold level with mix from below.
Turn heater on full high.
With pressure cap removed and engine cool, start engine and let idle up to operating temperature. A helper is a good idea. Be prepaired with a mixture of 50/50 AF(green) and water (distilled).
When level drops in radiator that means thermostat has opened, begin filling radiator with mixture while helper holds throttle around 1500 RPM or so, maybe a little more. Coolant may stop moving quickly, in which case wait for thermostat to open again. If / when level drops again continue to fill until it starts or overflow and quickly place new cap on radiator and lock into place. Then let off throttle.
You are now fairly packed and excess will go to overflow tank, and if the overflow system is sealed - will go back into system when cold.
If level drops again(after about 100 miles), try proceedure again. If it happens yet again, find leaks!
