Default Build sheet ?

Can anyone here transcribe my build sheet date? It is 90/117 and it located top center above the Time on the build sheet. My thinking leans to January 17,1990...another thought is it is the 117th day of production in 1990.... The cars last 6 Vin #s are no help. It is a 1990 ZR-1.

Anyone here know for sure?

Thanks,
Gregg-73

had same thoughts regarding it being day of the year, 117# would be March 27 on the Julian Day Calendar

My build sheet is 88/158, over to the far left is another date under sched no date, it has 6-20 (June 20?) According to the Julian Calendar day #158 would be June 6th, so maybe that isn't it. Curious too

Well, you would have to consider weekends & holidays...and subtract these dates from the production run...I don't think the 117 just ran to include these as well...but, here again, I am not certain.

IIRC, the build dates shown on the sheet is the date the VIN is entered into the system for the actual construction. It could be a day or two later (allowing for weekends or holidays) when metal is welded togeter for the frame and pieces of fiberglass are put together.

The last 6 digits of the VIN is a production sequence number from 000001 to whateve the final car was for that model year. The ZR-1 used a different sequence number set.

I know here at the Baltimore plant it took 5 days from the Vin entry into the system...until the car was finally built / completed and rolled at the back door for shipping. I just want to know if the 117 stands for January 17, 1990 or the 117th day of the production run....

Thanks for replying
