In order to get the whole inner portion, I was planning on taking it out. I don't have provisions to remove the tire from the rim, nor to reset a bead if its broken, so I'm wondering if removing the spokes(?) is such a good idea.
Anyone know if I can? If not, I'm just going to masque and paint, it should turn out alright.
Im not positive but i dont believe they come apart. But heres a tip: instead of trying to mask all the intricate little areas apply like vaseline with a brush to the parts you dont want to paint and the paint wont stick. My body guy got that out of some magazine and we tried it like 10 years ago but i remember it worked.
Thanks for the reply. :) I'm pretty sure they come apart, because to get them detailed is really expensive, because the shop takes them apart to get too all the nooks and crannies. Or so they said, too expensive for me to get them detailed.
The outside portion of the wheels are chrome, so any paint i get on them will be easy to take off, but in order to be thorough I'd like to take them apart.
