This morning leaving garage with temp up about 120 car just dies...Starts back up then dies.. Get back in shed and start checking... No codes, fuel pressure 40+... Try to start, runs, dies... Recheck, no codes, FP 40+... Tach jumps a little before dies... Several weeks ago I notices my SES light didn't come on with ignition so I started with bulb and found no current to SES socket... Traced back to PCM with FSM and had no volts coming from PCM for SES... Have OTC 4000e, figure I check for codes every few weeks and not worry about SES light... New opti, coil, wires (all MSD less than 900 miles) AC/Delco ignition module (new)... Could it be PCM having another part of it going out??? I know these PCM's for 92 LT1 are hard to come by but car not a daily driver so I can send it in and wait... Need some recommendatons on who is best and can make some mild improvements and fix the problems...

Reason: change SRS to SES
Could be the MSD opti been a few failures out of the box recently.Do a search on "MSD" and you will see them. Check for spark would be the first thing I would do. I thought the SRS was controlled by the CCM not PCM.What is OTC4000e?
Yes, thought of that but no codes has me thinking ECM... Page 6E3-A-7 (92 FSM) shows pin A6 goes from ECM to SES light... 4000e is a scan tool used to read codes on OBD 1 cars... Most all failures I read showed a code was set... I have no codes (except 12) and that is what has me confused... Also the problem with the SES light needs to be fixed...
Optis do not always toss codes especially if it is the rotor.I have read some bad things about MSD rotors too. I would not look at the ECM as the first thing but as the last thing myself. The only ECM solution is to send it off for a rebuild but they never tell you if they found anything.Ahh I see the SES to SRS change too I doubt you will see voltage there unless you have a fault. IIRC it only comes on for sec when the key is turned on. I believe you can disply the codes by jumping the A&G on the aldl or at least you can on a 93.That will give you a sequenced recovery on the LCD. As I said I would take a serious look at the spark before guessing ECM.
Checked fuel pressure again and it is between 50 & 52...One other post I read says this is too high.. Is that to high... Nothing in FSM or Alldata about FP too high...
