Hi, I replaced the whole master cylinder with one from an '88. But you can buy just the reservoirs and caps. I didn't see any differences in the master cylinder. The reservoirs just snap in and out. Also I didn't notice any difference in braking. Hope this helps.

Yes you can.Mine broke and I couldn't find a replacement so I just used two of the later ones.You may want to lube the O rings to help snap them into place.They can be a bitch to get on there.
