Noise from AC Compressor??
Happens with the car idling (87 Auto) in drive with my foot on the brake. I get this loud “clattering” noise from the area of the AC compressor when it cycles. When in park or neutral, the noise is inaudible. I took the car to a reputable AC specialist who said the noise is not the AC compressor and the system works just fine, which it does.
Any ideas?
