OK I hope someone can help me here I have a tape that is stuck in the tape player and will not come out is there a trick anyone knows about that might be usefull? it wont play, rewind, FF nothing just clicks alot when you hit any of the buttons. I tried to pry it out with twesers but could not get a good grip on it?thanks for any help you can give
DO NOT try to pry it out. You will cause more damage to the unit. You problem is that the tape is probably wrapped around one of the rollers inside the unit. This may be because of a bad tape or a broken belt in the unit. Take it to a repair shop to have serviced.
Just a note if youare looking for a repair facility. I have a 92 and have had some problem with the bose system also. I could not find anyone in my area that worked on the bose system but did find Doctor Don's in Texas. Check out http://www.doctordons.homestead.com. Service is speedy and he seems to know what he is doing.

My Gold system can't play cd's when the temperature drops below 40 degrees F. When i try to put cd in it just clicks away - after a good 20 minutes or so with the heater on, it runs fine.... - does anyone have/had that problem?
As a reply to your question - definetly DO NOT pry it out the tape itself is most likely wrapped around the rollers - pull the entire unit and take to a radio repairshop or if you have a cuple of days spare time you could take it apart....

:yesnod: I had the same problem but replaced the head unit.
Thanks everyone. I don't like the stupid thing enough to take the time (or spend the money)to take it out and fix it. I was hoping for an easy fix since there isn't one I guess I'll just repalce it with a better head unit. thanks again
Hey Aquaman93, After the New Years Day cruise, thinking you could be called Wild Man, lol. In reference to the tape , I can hear Circuit City, calling your name. Check out the Great Lakes post for some great pictures by Whitney. And a little post by me in reference a little surprise from a bubble gum machine in English, lol. C Ya, Whiteboy
My wonderful CD also does not work under 40 degrees, what gives?
I talked to a buddy of mine and he said the CD get cockeyed when it's cold because the optical sensor encounters moisture on it's lens during warm up in the car. Much like the inside windows do until the car gets up to a warmer temp.
Any humidity will be attracted to a cooler surface during a warming process. The CD can have the same problem if it came with you when you got into the cold car. (warm CD, Cold Deck= moisture collection) It may not be enough to be seen by our eyes by the optical sensor can't read through it. :yesnod:
It has to be a combination of the moisture on the cd/lens and something else - cuz u can't even put the cd into the slot of the player - also, regarding to the moisture - there can't be moisture on the lens because when every thing is the same temperature - moisture can't form - must be something else. I have a longshot idea about the mecanics in the playa becoming "stiff" ( like the rubberbands, the grease on the spindels).... I dunno  ... - anybody????
