I fixed my dead drivers window by replacing the....
Courtesy light bulb in the door.
Well, THAT saves me a huge headache!!

I guess you're kidding about the passenger window...mine quit working last week. The courtesy light works fine...I think. I'll have to check that out.

I don't think the two circuits are related. You probably wiggled some wiring when you had the door panel off.

That is what I was thinking, which is why I worded the thread title like that. I did not pull the door panel off, though.
The window did not work when I bought the car a couple weeks ago. Checked everything but pulling the door panel.
I took the door light lens above the handle out and found the bulb was cracked into two pieces. It looks almost like those old round glass fuses. I put the new bulb in, turned the lights on to check it, tried the window switch and the window worked.
I was surprised.

Likely loose contacts on the switch.
Or the connector. It's an old car and those parts get cranky.
