My 94's shocks are worn out and i need a replacement shock for my weekend driver, i was thinking about buying a set of T.P.I.S. shocks but i haven't heard much regarding forum members having any experience with those shocks then ebay has a set of Tociko's blue hp shocks for $200 for a set of 4, and then theres the Monroe sensea trac shocks which i have set of "but everybody describes Monroe shocks as being %100 junk" so i don't want to go that route, so please give me a recommendation for a replacement shock for my 94 vette.
thanks boonie
I have considered both the Tokico's and T.P.I.S. myself, and think I would give the Tokico's a shot. I had them on another car and they were great. My only concern with T.P.I.S. is that I have their exhaust system on my car, and while I like the exhaust, overall I get the feeling that T.P.I.S. quality control is a little uneven.
Don't forget about KONI have used them on several different cars since the early 70's and have them on our 87' roadster. Yea! they ain't cheap looking for a set for our C3 now.

You can send your Bilsteins in to Bilstein and have them rebuilt (and/or custom revalved)
I did put TPIS shocks on my Ruby a couple years ago. No problems or complaints. Used the car for road trips, autox and track days. (Of course I had other mods, like Z07 sway bars and big brakes on a base suspension).
I saved the Bilsteins because they still appeared to be functioning properly, from what I could tell, after approx 97,000 miles. Bilsteins seem to be the favorite shock on the forum today.
I put Tokico's on a neighbors '96 earlier this year. She's made a few trips to Texas and always mentions how good the car feels with them. I have driven her car and right away noticed the car rides much firmer then my '95 does. When we ordered these shocks, it was a toss-up between KYB's and the Tokico's. Someone posted the reason the Tokico's were more firm was, they use the Z51 specs. The ebay deal doesn't sound too bad. I won't bid on them if you want them. Let me know.
