Default What the heck is this module???

I recently purchased a mint condition 93, black on black 46g miles.... loaded right up... LOVE IT, figured out most of the options but, in the console there is this module that has a couple of dip switches then on the inside wall of the console there is a couple of toggle switches. Any ideas?? I don't really wish to fart around with them until I know what it is for. It does have an after market (I assume) Code Alarm security system but reading the install stuff on that it doesn't appear that its anything to do with that..help.
Thanks

Rob

the module looks like one of those remote controls. There is a small remote somewhere that goes on your key chain that closes the windows, arms the alarm, remote starts the car. I think clifford made them.
the toggles might be a type of kill switch that won't let the car start unless the switchs are in a certain position. moving the switches when it is already on won't do anything. So try moving them and turning the key. If its what i think it is it wont start because its wired through the clutch safety switch. But, it could also be something else like a muffler bearing monitor.

Your Corvette already comes with a great alarm system. Get rid of the after-market crap and toggle switches.

Default Thanks

Thanks all... I shall be checking this weekend to see if it does have anything to do with the after market alarm. I don't care for it and may pull it all except it also has command start and a wack of other features. I shall play and let you know.

thanks again

Don't push any buttons! It is selfdestructing device in case you are surrounded by enemies. Another switch is to start rocket engines.

looks like a aftermarket alarm to me those switches would be the valet switch and a master switch and the box is a dual zone adjustable microwave "motion" sensor...
