Default Door Panels

Does anyone know how to fix the door panels so that they will stay fastened at the top on my 95 coupe?

Just fixed mine earlier this week . 94 coupe. When you remove the panel look at the ribs at the top ( usually the first three near the rear) you will find they are cracked which allow the door to lose its curve at the top and fit loose. I slid couple of pieces of rope under the door felt and make a loop thru where the door handle goes and tied together. Then use screwdriver to twist and tighten up the rope till the cracks come together and door comes back in shape. Tye wrap screwdriver in place to keep it from untwisting. Now you are ready to repair the door. sand and clean the ribs and area around them. I used a product called Marine-tex (two part putty like glue.) You can get it at local hardware or Marine supply store. I find it the be the best for such repairs. reinforce the sides of the ribs and blend outward toward the next rib. Let dry 24 hour. You can now remove rope and refit felt. Replace door panel and enjoy your ride. Both my doors had the same problem and are tighter than new after repair. good luck. terry

Had same problem on my 94 driver side, finally removed door panel couldn't see any visual deformity etc. I used a good quality exterior construction adhesive(read directions for compatibility) run a generous bead on door panel where it meets with mating surface of door and also on door where it mates with panel. Carefully putting this all back together i used couple strips of duct tape to keep panel in place until it set up, i think overnight. This thing has stayed fast not sure what i will run into if i ever need to remove it again.
