Default How often for tuneup on 95 LT1?

I have been told that I don't need to do a tuneup until 100,000 miles but I'm sure that's highly optimistic. How often do you guys go in and replace plugs and wires? Also, how often do you replace the fuel filter? Other than the air filter, is there anything else I need to replace regularly? Having never seen an optispark, is there a distributor cap, rotor, etc.? Thanks in advance. Sorry to sound stupid but I'm new to this particular engine (been playing with rotaries too long  ). Thanks in advance.

I replaced my Delco Platinums at 90,000 miles. The gaps had burned open to .066". I would definitely at least take them out and regap them before 90,000 miles. Since it is so time consuming to take out the old plugs, it is probably wothwhile to put a new set in rather than to reinstall re-gapped plugs. :)

no the opti is not really like a distributor cap and rotor. Id just change plugs and wires every 50k at least, fuel filter at the same time, maybe less.

First set of plugs was at 55,000 only because I had them out to install headers and the second set of plugs and first set of wires at 94,000 when i pulled the motor for the head and cam. Never had a problem.

For a standard daily driven C4...

Trans fluid (Auto or Stick)- every 30K miles
Oil - every 3k miles
Differential Fluid - every 50K miles
Coolant - every 2 years
Power Steering - every 30K miles
Brake Fluid - every year
Spark Plugs - every 25K miles for copper core or 50K miles for Platinum
Spark Plug Wires - every 50K miles

If you race it, these get thrown out the window and an accelerated version comes into play.

In my GM service manual, andjust about everywhere else I have seen with the LT1 - it says (paraphrased) if the fuel system ain't boggin down - dont mess with it. I.e. - do not replace the fuel filter until it starts to dog down.

Whether or not that means anything - who knows. But, I havent changed my fuel filter yet.

The only thing that might be a little optomistic is the Copper plug life. Then again, we don't deal with too many regular daily drivers that are not raced also!!!!

I've actually never tested the 25k miles for copper cores because I change mine about 4 times a year and only put about 3-4k miles per year (assuming it runs).
