As you can see by this post we will have 10 races this year with the first 8 being points races. This is being done so hopefully we will have the points jackets by our last race.
As a series we have come of age. We are now being considered/treated the same the other points racing series at E-town ie: Real Street, Import, Heavy, ect. This is a great accomplishment and I want to thank all the racers who have made this possible. We as Corvette owners are the first single CAR MODEL to have a legitmate points racing series at E-town.
Not the f-body or Mustang have this type of series.
Guys this is BIG. REAL BIG!!!!!!!!
Please continue to check the forum and our web site for future updates and how and when to sign up for this points series.
Again thanks to everyone and great job Dennis.
John

Jim , got to agree with you on the PM dates, the more the better.

Sleep late no way. If the schedule is set up correctly (and ibelieve it is) we have our races at night after a daytime show that all the Cartek CORVETTE challenge race coud race in ie: GM EFI High Tech, the tracks corvette race, the vette mag race, SLP day and so on. Most of us regulars have run these double showes for years. It a great long day of racing and it perfect for the guys making the long trip. Like 2 days worth of racing for one trip.
I hope everyone takes advantage of this, We'll have some great racing,
John

In fact, I resent the "REAL racers" remark because I am torn between which race I want to win;) on that weekend.
The corvette forum elminations went 5 or 6 rounds last year which as big as any of our Corvette Challenge events last year and bigger than some.
Here is another suggestion, we should work with Troy and the Forum to see if we cannot include the corvette forum eliminator as one of the Corvette Challenge events much like the Indy 500 was a part of the CART championship (I know that did not work out in the end but you get the picture)
But everyone has to make there own choice.
Can I still run in any of the events without signing up?
Just won't be eligble for the trophy and jacket, correct?

If you don't sign up for points then you will not be awarded points and not be eligible CHampionship trophy and jackets.
You will always be eligible for single event triphies for First round win and Eliminator winner or runner up.
As for the sign up, it is not a paperwork fee from us. That money is imposed by E-town, for E-Town and is not a fee from us.

Lighten up.
