Look on the drivers side of the trans pan, near the exhaust pipe.

You want to loosen the lower nut and disconnect the gear selector cable (covered by a plastic accordian protector, pictured in lower right corner of previous picture). Then you want to move the selector on the transmission case to the very front, meaning the bottom part of the selector will be towards the engine and the top part will point towards the rear of the car. Then you will go inside the car and make sure you have your shifter on Park. Then reconnect the shifter selector cable to the tranny.
However, I do believe when I tried this method, it was hard to stretch the selector cable all the way to the park position, so I believe I counted the clicks of the selector (on the tranny) until it was in Neutral (all the way forward is P, then one click back is Reverse, then Neutral, then overdrive, D, 2, and 1). So you would have the bottom part of the selector all the way forwards then move 2 clicks backwards and make sure the shifter in the car is in Neutral then connect the nut and you're set. You can follow this procedure for any of the gears and it will be right as long as the selector on the transmission or the shifter in the car don't move while you reconnect the cable to the transmission case. At the end, just check that when the shifter in the car is on Park, the bottom of the level is all the way forwards, slanted like this, but more extreme (you get the point): / .
If this doesn't fix it, you may have a problem with the nut inside the case:

Or maybe the lugs on the outside of the reaction internal gear - if these are rounded enough, there can be no Park (don't worry, its probably just the shifter cable).

excellent explanation !
i know the outer nut regulation, its an easy fix,we have tried that 3 times but somehow it looses alone and the shifter is funny (not so much) again.-
Im suspecting the inner nut is out of adjustment or something.-
we have tried regulate it on PARK only
i will try on 1st.put the nut while its on 1st,so less tension to the cable.-
thanks again !
