1993 corvette 22k any help my headlights only stay on bright they will not click downto low. Everything on the stalk works. Any suggestions. Thanks
The dimmer switch is broken or mis-adjusted.. its a cheap part and not too hard to get to.. drop the access panel (hush panell/knee panel) under the steering wheel. Next remove the metal plate/bracket which is behind the hush panel (4 10mm bolts). Next put the wheel tilt in the fll up position and have a helper hold the wheel up (or otherwise support thew steering wheel col. remove the 2 large bolts that hold the steering col to the chassis and let it drop.. now, on top of the col there is a little white rectangular switch assembly (about 1"x4").. check to see if the screws that hold it in position have loosed.. if they have (with the screws just slight loose) move that switch toward the steering wheel about an 1/8"-1/4" inch tighten the screws and see if you ehar the click when you pull on the turn signal stalk (and your lights go back to non-bright). if not move it a little more (this is the adjustment). if you cant get it to click along the adjustment path the switch is probably smoked and should be replaced.. its not that expensive..
