Default Engine builder in San Antonio, TX?

Hello all,

Can anyone recommend a shop that can handle a basic overhaul in the San Antonio area? Shops to avoid?

I'm looking for a basic rebuild this time. A stroker may be in the future, but for now I'm looking for a rebuild on the cheap.

Thanks in advance,

Joe
New Braunfels, TX

P.S. Forgot to mention: 95 C4, 6 speed, 180k miles

Is that the shop down on 2918 Roosevelt? If so, I did some business with them years ago. Good folks.

Thanks for the reply!

Yep thats them alright. They do great work and there great people. There is also alamo performance. If you go there talk to wes(owner). They are great people and my dad has known them for a long time in the racing feild.

Its not that no one else knows of them its just that they are the only two that are known. Theres a place called lethal performance on 18838 fm 2252. They build the engines but they send everything off for the machining aspect, and im not sure which shop they use.

I tried all the shops in S.A, for a shortblock stroker , could'nt find one for under 4gs. Call m&r out of cali 818-500-4990. I bought my all forged 383 stoker with 6"rod 4340 crank camshaft ,oil pan ,oil pump ,timing chain for 2600.00 shipping included.

I'm considering using City Motor Supply. Anyone heard of/used them?
