Default What blower would I be looking for ? Input needed !

Looking for input on a possible blower for my new motor. Long story short my 388 blew up and am rebuilding a 370. A custom cam with a custom firing order etc is looking at 16 weeks for me. By the looks of things the motor won't be finished by spring and I may be possible waiting the entire year next year because I just bought a house, and am soon to be buying a cts-v (wohoo !)

So, the current build is a no expense spared 370 Ci LT4. Current goals were 570-590 hp with a solid roller lightweight components and every bolt on or exotic material available. except titanium lol The FOCUS of the build was to peak power around 7200-7500 rpm and safely revv to 8000 rpm without exploding. My builders agree the build can easily do that with the parts selection (I basically gave them an open checkbook).

SO.. I am considering swapping out the pistons for lower compression ones and changing the cam to a blower cam. What Blower will give me NO power below 2000 rpm and gradually build up over 3000-4000 rpm and peak pressure where i want it which is around 7000-7500 rpm?
I am not familiar with blower types etc so I'm clueless here.

My Goals would be to add say another 150 rwhp if that is reasonable. My new motor NA was planned to make 450+. I want unreal acceleration at higher rpms. I can only imagine what an open exhaust with a blower at 7500 rpms would do to my ears !!!

The big reason I shyed away from a blower idea was because I love my ram air intake (the one that goes through the bumper) and didnt want to have to remove it But since I'm in deep so much money I am entertaining the idea to just drop on a blower and make some real power.

Ok I am kidding about no power below 2000 rpm. But I am not a fan of having torque or big cubes and blowing the tires to the steel cords every time i touch the gas. Even if the throttle is lazy below 4000 rpm i can handle it i just want it to be a monster at higher speeds and at higher rpms. So what I am looking for is a blower that builds gradual pressure as rpms rise (centrifugal?).

if you're spinning it to 7000+ you can by my ysi setup. That thing will put out nice boost at that rpm and not that much down low. It'll put you over your 150+ rwhp gain though. More like 300. With a 7.35/3.00 pulley combo you'd be pushing 60,000 blower rpm.

As much as I would rather have a turbo for all its benefits I am not impressed by what I've seen when it comes to engine compartment looks. The plumbing and all the new exhaust work headers and all are just a nono. I would really just want to add a bolt on blower and intake plumbing and not have to worry about the exhast and oil lines etc etc. I know it can be made to look great I just don't want all the extra work involved.

I should add that I am entertaining the idea only. I've spent quite a bit so far on the build up and it seems to me pistons and rods would be all that would really need to be changed to bring the compression down and add strength.

I recently just did a full tune with a fast xfi on an LT4 camaro myself and was pleasantly impressed with his setup. 383 with a paxton I believe. I learned quite a bit and tuning such an aggressive setup was much easier than I expected. She made 588rwhp on a Mustang dyno and was an incredible blast. I picked up 76 rwhp from going through the car with my laptop (proud of myself ) So that's why it's got me thinking.

Centrifugal perfect for you: i.e., Vortech/Paxton, ProCharger, etc. You do not want a Roots (Eaton) or rotary screw (Whipple) based upon what you said.
