Default How to easily drain fuel tank: Run pump right?

So I'm FINALLY getting the vette back going after being absolutely untouched for at LEAST a year.
I want to drain what's left of the fuel in the tank, and replace it with new...My idea is to run the pump (jumper pins in the ALDL right?) and disconnect the fuel filter and let the fuel come out of the line right there (while filling the tank with fresh fuel)
Is this the correct procedure?

I'd pull the pump and use a siphon pump, think that's the name, just a manual pump. Little sparks, gas, fiberglass, not a good combination.

I unhook my pressure regulator gage that is on my regulator, hook a hose onto that and them jumper the ALDL with 12v (think its pin G, doulble check that though). When you jumper the ALDL have the hose in a gas can and it will fill her right up. I just did this before putting in my fuel cell. Worked nice and no mess. Pump it completely dry before putting the new gas in or it will just mix. also I doubt you need to change the fuel out of it. My kid just started up a 4wheeler that sat for at least 3years and it ran like a champ on the tank of gas that was in it for all that time.

You could try a manual fuel pump, they sell them at hobby stores.

Default bad gas

IMHO, I would run the gas in it. I dont see a problem.
