How do I remove the main drive pulley from harmonic balancer? I think it is frozen?
I removed the three bolts and it would not move. I then removed the center bolt (which I think just holds the harmonic balancer) and it still would not move. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Three bolts hold the damper to the hub. Try a puller on the damper or use a block of wood and BFH on the rear of damper. Hit one side than the other (need longish block IOT be effective)
I never had trouble removing LT1 dampers but others have. I've heard of folks that loosen the three bolts then start the engine and quickly shut it down. (I wouldn't do that but I'm not lucky)
Just so I am clear, the pulley hub is seperate from the damper, they are just frozen together? Is this correct?
So I guess my only real option is to remove both at the same time. Is there an orientation on the damper or the hub or can they be put on in any orientation?

The hub and damper are separate pieces. I don't know whether you will be able to get the hub out with the damper attached with the engine in the car. Things are pretty tight in the front of the engine down there.
I'd use some PB blaster what a night or two, then try a block of wood and a BFH
There is no key way in an LT1 hub (crank is keyed hub is not) Damper is supposed to be neutrally balanced and since GM didn't bother to use a key I'd bet its ok in any orientation. However, I always align mine . Sharpie is my friend.

I had to pull the balancer off my 92 to replace the opti a while ago.
Took a hammer, block of wood, a helper, and lots of patience.
Wound up with this procedure:
Wack balance from below 2-3 times
Rotate engine using the center bolt 90 degrees
Repeat until it comes off (took 2.5 revolutions in my case)
Now that you have it off clean the hub and inside the balancer.
Coat with anti-sieze before reinstalling!

Congrats on the removal.
The more work you do on old cars the more you'll appreciate PB blaster and a BFH.
I've done the damper and hub pull on LT1s more than a dozen times and I don't have a Kent More puller.
I use a cut down 1/4 drive extension and a regular Craftsman puller (extension fits in the crank and the drive end of the extension was ground just enough to be a semi-loose slip fit through the hole in the hub.
