I put ceramix pad on the rear of my 93 cost $92. went to order front pads they want $152. is this right or is my local NAPA store trying to rip me off , if so where should I get them. Thanks as always Jim
Sounds about right, I paid somewhere around that amount. I noticed that all the NAPA's in my area vary a little in price for the exact same items, so you may want to call several others, but the differences are only a few bucks.
For a daily driver that does not see track use they are worth the price since they don't squeal, do not show any dust, are cheaper than stock, and perform as well as far as I can tell. Track use (road/autox, not drag), I have no idea, but I would guess that you would want something more appropriate and can deal with the dust/squeal/cold stopping etc.
Mr. Mojo I called Craig he gave me a good deal , so parts are being shipped, thanks for your help. I checked into the durastop before I bought the Ceramix ,they didn't have them for my 93 yet.
You mention NAPA auto parts. I needed six bango compression washers this last weekend. Pep Boy's had two @ 45cents each. Checker - none. Napa had some, but they wanted $1.00 each for a penny worth of copper. This has been my experience on a couple of other occassions with NAPA.. I passed and went a mile up the road to Auto Zone asked for the washers. The manager recognized me and told the fellow helping me "if we have them give them to him". Some days we come out OK. Just passin the minor things in life along that make it an interesting day.
