When you replace the tranny oil, when the car is level, does it fill up to the bottom of the fill plug, or do you have to measure in exactly 2.2 quarts? I would like to know before I do it, what size tube fits into the hole? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. car is a 1993 if that matters, I don't think it does.

Just pump it in until it just starts to flow out. The hand pumps you get in the auto parts stores should fit in there (tube)

Yes it fills up to the bottom of the fill plug on the passangers side. The fill hole is about 3/4" so any size tubing used to stick in there to pump oil back in it works good. When oil runs out...it's full. I just changed mine over the weekend, easy job. I used a 17mm allen socket (1/2" drive). Remove the fill plug first. If you can get that out, it's the hardest. The drain plug is on the bottom and has plenty of access. Drain & fill...

I used a small diameter garden hose section about 3 ft long up through the engine bay with a funnel stuck in it to fill it
I didnt feel like laying on the ground with a pump
Overfilled it a little and just let it run out before putting the plug back in
