Default Bosch Oxy heated 4 87 ??

I have been looking all over for a heated Bosch Oxygen sensor that is designed for the 87 L98 .45 volt crossover. Also where is the best point to take the 12 volts?

Thanks,

Gary

Default O2s

I used one for a 90 ZR1 on my '87.....wired a relay off the connector 'tween the battery & firewall for heat part.....and off the ignition feed to the distributor to turn the relay on/off.....mounted my relay next to the cooling fan relay under the master cylinder on the inner fender.....good luck

Heated comes on quicker for closed loop operation......highly recommended for long tube headers when you mount O2S in the collector.....heater helps keep it on at idle .....also good for bigger injectors and/or cams.....closed loop gives the best fuel economy and efficiency for driving in traffic.....WOT is still according to the tuner

actually closed loop doesn't come on any sooner, as there is a timer in the PROM, plus other variables that control closed loop.

tpiparts.net sells a kit that I used on my 89.

Why don't you tell us all the conditions for entering closed loop on an 87!

So a Camaro site would know the conditions for establishing open loop on a Corvette?

for OBD1 prom information, 3rd gen .org is the place to go.
TPI motor's are all basically the same.
