MY RT HEADLIGHT ON MY 1988 VETTE DOESNT SPIN ALL THE WAY UP. IF i HELP IT ALONG IT WILL GO UP.
IS IT THE MOTOR?
ARE THERE AFTERMRKET MOTORS AVAILABLE?
GM GETS $513.29!!
THANKS FOR THE HELP!
$5 fix if you have the time, I have seen the motors for sale rebuilt for around $100 but I have no experience with the vendor, I am sure one on this sight sells them.
My 91 was doing the same thing. It's the 3 delrin bushings inside the motor. This is an easy fix. You can ordered the bushings from any corvette parts supplier (zip, corvette central, mid-america, ecklers, etc. or ebay). Takes @ 2 hours start to finish. When I got to the gear and bushings, the bushings were so worn that it was like sawdust. Amazing they had worked at all. Print and follow the instructions from the sticky at the top of this forum: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1848666.

Reason: better link
There is frequently a guy selling the entire assemblies (both l&r) on ebay for a little over $200. I bought two and it worked out very well.
Packaging said genuine GM.
