Well my '88 is long overdue for some new catalytic converters, one of them is rattling and seriously hampering my vehicle's performance. My mechanic says the car has 3? Damn didn't know that! Thought it was only two, damn 80s cars lol
Where can I get some decent high flow cats? Any suggestions?
Actually you have 2 Pre-cats on the front Y-pipe, and 1 catalytic converter.
Alright, so it's safe they all need to be replaced right? I mean, after 20 years and since the driver's side one is making noise. What do I need to get, and are there any good deals online?

I have an OEM GM front y-pipe from my '89 coupe with built in pre-cats. I removed it and the main cat to free up my exhaust flow. The pipe is in excellent condition (stored in a heated basement) with the precats intact. The pipe was removed at 7k miles when the car was less than a year old. PM me if your interested in buying this pipe.

Get a front y-pipe without the pre-cats, they just hinder the exhaust flow. Then get either an OEM replacement or a nice high-flow main cat, depending on if you like the subtle tone of the exhaust or want it a little louder, respectively. The only reason I have my pre-cats is because I deleted my main and pass them off as the OEM cats for inspection. No one has to know they're hollow.
