Engine loading up
Maybe somebody can give a hand before i go the wrong direction with this. 87 Corvette completely stock with an aftermarket chip. Starts up fine when is cold and will continue to run great until it gets shut off. Wait a few minutes to start it back up and it seems to start fine then all of sudden the check engine light comes on and runs a little on the rough side and acts like its loading up via poor throttle responce. in order to fix this problem i have to get it to flood out and hold the throttle to the floor and it clears it self, check engine light does not come on and purrs like a kitten. do i have a leaking injector. or a bad fuel regulator or maybe a bad sensor. can smell fuel sometimes after it has been shut off and the air/fuel ratio while on the dyno was around 12.6/1 and i have already replaced the O2 sensor and it didnt seem to change anything.

Most likely your problems are from the aftermarket chip. Many of these chips run the engine slightly rich to obtain more HP. Try putting the stock chip in and see how it does. If the service engine light comes on, pull the error codes!
