Both of my 84's use the switch that is on the left of your picture.

Those are the correct push button door lock/unlock switches for an '84. The panel with the smaller hole is probably for a different year which uses smaller switches.

Thanks. I will try to find part number on plastic frame and call dealer to find out year.
