Default 85 Starting Problem

I am having trouble starting my 85 L98 after a complete rebuild. I did not change anything at all in the TPI system except replacing the factory injectors with Bosch IIIs. Everything else is exactly the same, to include the cold start valve. Prior to the rebuild, the car was starting just fine, with no apparent problems at all. I am getting fire to the plugs and I had the control module checked out. Fuel pressure is good, but it doesn't seem to be getting where it needs to for startup. The car was running fine at the time rebuild, just had a bad oil leak so I decided to do a total rebuild due to age and mileage.

I don't know everything about the cold start valve (CSV), but after checking everything else, I think its not functioning as it should. How would I check it? It is my understanding that the injectors fire based on crankshaft revolutions and this info is fed through the ECM. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to check for or maybe an alternative. This car was and is still a daily driver so I am not interested in hotrodding it. Although I did bore it .030 over and stepped up the cam a little, just enough to tease a few Mustangs.

Please help, frustration is building! My wife and I love this car and miss it dearly.

get a test light and see if you are getting 12 vlts to the CSV during cold crank. This is a valve , it does not pulse. It just goes on and off. The coil should ohm check at about 2.8. There is also a cold start relay that puts the 12vlts to the valve. Check out the electrical circuit first.

There are a number of possibilities, but one thing easily missed after a rebuild is not plugging in the oil pressure sensor connector in the back of the block near the distributor. If the ecm doesn't see oil pressure, the car will not start.
