A clear demonstration of the misunderstanding of how engines are designed and how mis information runs wild!! Even to the extent that exhaust numbers really matter that much... too funny, I appreciate the laugh. Glad we can have some humor in a flow thread!
Perhaps VT should give Sonny a call and straighten him out!!!
I'll be back, going to breath into a small paper bag, I can't stop laughing...
AFR..........1.56 CFM per 1 cc
Sonny's.....1.01 CFM per 1 cc
Exhaust
AFR..........3.67 CFM per 1 cc
Sonny's.....2.21 CFM per 1 cc
I think its pretty clear..... AFR 180cc > Sonny's 652cc Hemispherical cylinder head .... too big of a runner, never make any torque with that Sonny head

I've had the pleasure of being around one of his creations and it was top notch! The parts are amazing and in some cases, custom made for that engine (you could almost beat someone up with the connecting rod out of one of these things). It's nice though, they have gotten cheaper! Several years back a 704 cubic inch version came through and that was a $75,000 deal with the 800+ version being over $100,000. It's cool that you can get into one of the big ones now for a little less. If you want to go fast; it's worth every penny!

Another clear example of you spinning out of control in a cylinder head thread and attacking the merits of fellow forum members is more like it.
The OPs title to this thread was "flow numbers beat these" and that's ALL he said......nothing about building engines, making power, VE, combustion chamber shape etc etc etc.....
So where's the misinformation you're crying about?
Perhaps VT should give Sonny a call and straighten him out!!!
About what? Where did I criticize Sonny? What I posted were facts and nothing else. No opinions, recommendations or criticisms yet here comes J-Lo and the cylinder head Police again after being alerted that the keyword
"AFR" was typed in a thread.

It also didn't say anything about AFR ...... nor did it invite comparisons to AFR. However, you did bring it up, which in this case is like comparing an apple to a howitzer. The "attack" is merely pointing out the absurdity of the comparison which is what I am sure several people, including myself, were thinking.
Geez dude, let up already and relax.
Perhaps this statement is directed at the wrong person ?????
