Ok I am starting to plan my rebuild, i think i wasn tot go with a lt1 stroked to a 389 alumn heads, crane cam, headers and a Turbo! that should put me in the 500-600 range at the RW. is this feesable for a (daily driver in the summer) occasional driver.
will i forever spend my life savings on more and more parts to keep it running? also would the stock Tranny, driveshaft and rearend handle it?
Is this a long term project or do you have the parts and will start right away? Keep us posted with pictures and do not forget to install an airfoil, with a turbo it may gives you 1/10 RWHP.

Thoughts
I don't think the tranny, drive shafts, or rear will last long if it sees a lot of track time with hard launches or sticky tires. Mines a daily driver on street tires with occasional track runs. With the 125 shot I'm probably not making much over 400rwhp. Plenty of torque though. I'm on my third trans and TC. I try not to kill it on the launches. I've also replaced U-joints. The Dana 36, well I better not say anything cause the next time out it would probably break.

600 RWHP daily driver, gas money? Good Luck Dave!
Long term for sure, and i thought Turbo helped with that? at the risk of being lame i watched Horse Power and they built a mustang Turbo with 1000 HP on the motor (on the dyno) My goal is 500+ hp Why? I have no freaking idea! I guess it is the "because it can be done" theory. I dont want to turn this into garage furniture. I want to rive it Alot.
Ah it would be fun but it will take some money and time to get everything sorted out. If it's something that you can afford to do there are companies out there that can help you get it done. Keep pushing and get started already!
