rear springs
is there a difference in the soft ride spring. vs the z51 spring if so what is it. need help ASAP the car is a 1984 with stock suppension i bought a set of soft ride springs when they arrived . the spring had hd z51 on it will that ride softer . than the stock spring that is on there now. the streets suck in chicago . will b peeing blood soon . kidneys need help ASAP! the spring r 1985 to 1988

Yes, there are big differences based on the year of you car if the springs are still original. Depending on what you are looking for, the later C4s had softer springs from about 92 on. I have '90 Z-51 springs for sale that are the stiffest stock GM spring made . Pm me if you want more info. Mstrs2

You can see from the chart that the late Z51 springs are softer than the std springs in early cars.
