Default lt1 question?

Greetings people. Looking for a vette and wanted to know if there were any major changes done to this motor over it's run fron 92 to 96. I know about the opti and the lt4 version. Just wondering as everybody on here always say's get the newest one you can afford. Been finding some good buy's lately but they have been mostly 93's. I guess what I want to know is are the earlier ones just as good as the 96's.
Thanks in advance Mike

96, as you know, only comes in auto since the 6spds got the lt4. The 92-93E had a double sided serpentine belt that cost almost twice as much as the later ones, if that makes a difference for you. 94 up had sequetial fuel injection( compared to speed density) which is a little better for drivability and economy. Easier to tune also. Performance wise they are all about the same. Others will chime in soon with more info.

96 is the only LT-1 with OBDII.

This site will give you more information than you'll want to read.

http://www.vettefacts.com/C4/1994.aspx

It looks like a '94 site but you can select all the LT1's '92-'93 and '94-'96 and see the difference in them. The '94 had the most advanced changes to the whole car than any of the others.
