what should i pay???? opinions please!
i need to replace the drivers side gears in my headlights, on my 84. also the fiberglass piece around both lights, is in need of replacing. i found a '84 this morning, that is being parted out. i asked the guy what he would take for both entire units, motors and all, he told me make offer. i offered $100, as the, 'lids', tops aren't in that great shape and can't be used. he refused, saying that wasn't enough. he never would give me a price. was i way to low on my offer? or is he trying to get me for what he can? one thing why i would like to get these, they are already painted to match my car! :confused:

I'd say $100 was on the low side for complete units... rebuilt motors alone are over 150 each. I'd offer him $175-200. If you get them elsewhere, you'll have to figure in the cost of painting them if they don't match.

i called this fellow after getting these replies. offered $200, he again refused! screw this guy! :mad i know these thing are exspensive, but, these are old and subject to early failure because of that! he's wanting atleast $300. :bs for that price i can buy all the parts i need NEW!
