Default Nos questions.

I realize this is a subjective topic, but I have a few questions about nos.

I am thinking of putting a kit (dry 100 hp) on my lt4 stock other than a 4.09 rear.

1.How long does a bottle say 15 lbs last.... this is hard to answer I know but I want to know if I will be refilling it every 2 weeks.....
2.How much is it to refill?
3.With the new safeties involved, if I use a window switch say 3 k to 6k plus something for fuel pressure cutoff (like the new venom system) and no 1st gear am I safeish. (Im not too worried about longevity I have 34 k on the engine now and will probably have 40k on it in 3 years..its a toy. I just do not want to have anything break suddenly...)
4. Is 100 shot in a common plenum or plumbed to each cyl?
5. How much including install for one plumbed into each cyl or a common plenum.
I understand the physics involved and the risks and what to do to prevent most of them. Detonation...leaning out etc.. I am just looking for some input from people who have successfully and unsuccessfully used nos. So, dig in and tell me your experiences...

1. My 15lb bottle last me about 6 or 8 full passes with a 150 shot. It woudl probably go a little farther but i fill my own bottles and i don't like worrying about pressure dropping with a low bottle.

2. Refills are $2.50 to $3.50 a pound depending on who you know usually.

3. I put a new fule filter, MSD and window switch on mine and i have had zero problems.

4. Usually it is a single nozzle or plate spraying directly into the plenum for ditribution.

5. Fogger installs can be pricey and it is unnecessary with a 100 shot. Installs for kits around here are usually around $400.

The biggest thing i tell people is to play it safe and don't get crazy with big shots of spray. Keep an eye on bottle pressure and use the safety mechanisms available and you will be fine. Lots of people hate nitrous and lots love i. Just do your homework and keep asking questions like you are doing. Hope this helps a little.

I have NOS kit 5174, jetted at 100 hp. It is a dry system and works off the TPS switch. I have not been to the track yet, so I have no #'s on how long the bottle will last. (except on the street, about two weeks of fun!) I too, have the 15lb bottle and in my area it costs $4.99 a lb. to refill.
