Default FX3 Question - Early vs. Late

I know the controllers are different, but are the actuators interchangeable? Can early FX3 shocks be rebuilt by Bilstein to late specs. The reason I ask, someone is selling an early version at bargain prices and I was wondering on the compatibility.

They rebuilt mine to later specs...

You'll also need either a later spec controller, or get one from Rippie that has a different chip in it.

So Bilstein can revalve the early shocks, but what about the actuators, they are different:http://captainzcnc.com/_wsn/page2.html
How does the different stop affect the system?

It doesn't...

The way the system works is when you start the car, it cycles the actuator fully one direction and then the other. When it meets resistance at the end the computer "tags" that as the stop. The stops are actually in the shocks themselves. Once the computer knows where the ends are, it sets to the setting you want it to be at.

I've only ever replaced 1 actuator on my car since it was new. Guess I'm just lucky.
