Default OK, What happened to...

Deakins last thread? For God's sake, can't we even have a discussion on this Board any more??? Or should we rename this the AFRForum??? This has gotten out of hand, the moderators won't even let you discuss anything...I realize that most of these threads degenerate into a pissing contest, but every now and then, some good information comes out. Not being an engineer, nor wanting to be, I'm interested in hearing all sides of a discussion, and I just bypass all the pissing and moaning, to get to the meat of the discussion. But if these threads are just gonna disappear, then people will start to only post the "I've got an erratic idle" threads....good god, how many things can cause an erratic idle, that haven't been discussed a thousand times!! I wish we could all show some restraint, and remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but still have some interesting and informative discussions here, without the moderators taking it upon themselves to decide what to discuss...

I don't know what to tell you bro. I'm with you on the pissing contest things. I gave up on the head discussions a while ago. I think I will stick with the good deal. 500HP will just get me killed anyways. I think a big problem is some people rattle off their opinions as facts and refuse to even consider anyone else's. There is usually more than one to do something. My personal favorites are the people argue with each other and they are building two totally different kinds of motor. Those threads are only good for entertainment. OH my second favorites are the one's rattling off about motor stuff, and then you find out someone ELSE built their motor. Got to love that. It's cool though, I have my sources and I just PM them with specific question. I get my best advice that way.

Ever notice how CFI-EFI never seems to get involved in these things? He seems to me to be the most knowledgeable guy around. Always seems to give good advice. Now, he can be a little cranky at times, but who can't. At least people respect him and his opinion, and the threads he is in never seem to degenerate to that level. That's what I'm talking about....

yThe reason the thread was locked and boneuarded has nothing to do with AFR. It has everything to do with the TYPE of thread it was. This thread will go the way of that thread.
