Rough idle on a 95?

On the way out to get new plugs right now. (NGK TR55's) Not sure if I'm going to be able to change them myself or not.. that right rear looks like a killer.

You are on the right track. The 1st thing you should do is get the ignition system in good order. In your case ~ plugs and wires is about all you can do without digging into the OptiSpark ~ which it wouldn't appear is a problem for you at this time.
My 92 LT1 was experiencing rough idle symptoms and I took the logical approach to solving the problem. Eventually it was a new set of injectors that cured my problem. I went with the FMS 24#/hr injectors from Jeg's, which cost me ~$200 for the entire set. In all honesty, I feel that this was one of the best investments I have made with my Vette.

The right rear plug was put there out of spite...correct?? :mad :smash: :mad :smash: :mad :smash: :mad :smash: :mad
Took about two hours to change all 8 plugs, they were original delcos and in pretty ugly shape, good color, but the pucks were missing on 5 out of the 8, gaps ranged from 50 to 67!!
Car idles much better and pulls even stronger on the top end. Next thing is the wires, but i'll pay someone to do them :)
Did you have any special tools to take the plugs out? I'm thinking about changing mine also. I had a new opti and wires put in when I bought the car.
Jim #2 or is that 3, I forget.

I ended up taking the spark plug wire loom bracket off, and that gave me enough room to get my hand in there. (and I've got thin arms) Putting the plug back in is just as bad. At one time I was sitting on the tire with my back to the motor, both hands down around the manifold trying to get the plug started.
I forgot which Jim I am also! :)

#1 - A long 24" extension so that I can work the plugs through though the wheel wells.
#2 - A good 3/8" universal joint that doesn't flop from side to side, but stays in place when I turn it to a preferred position.
#3 - a 12" piece of rubber hose that I can slip over the spark plug and use to turn the plug to remove and install. It also keeps me from dropping the plug. Try It ~ You'll Like It!
