Aaron, I'm not spending much time here anymore, but saw this & it's one of those threads I was concerned about opening...... I'm so very glad to read your son is doing much better bud, there's nothing more important in life than family!

FWIW, I rode out a car-train accident back in the day & also had a ruptured spleen & lacerated liver among other things.........the cramping pains were pretty severe, but everything healed just fine without surgery for me too. The body is an amazing thing...........the way it shuts off the memories of these traumatic events..........I often think about how lucky I am not to have to re-live that thing thru memory. My best wishes & that of my family to you & yours!!!
